We’re thrilled to welcome the GLOST Glaze pop-up shop to County Hall Pottery as part of our current exhibition, GROUNDWORKS, running from 12 May to 29 June. This is a rare opportunity to experience GLOST’s beautiful glazes in person – see them up close, get inspired, and take home your favourites on the spot.

Located within the exhibition space, the pop-up invites ceramicists of all levels to explore a curated range of ready-to-use GLOST glazes – no mixing, just brush on and fire. Whether you’re an individual maker, studio owner, or educator, these glazes are designed to simplify the creative process while offering complex, stunning results.

More than just a glaze company, GLOST is an artisanal brand born from a deep passion for materials and the chemistry behind transformation. The name itself refers to the ‘glost firing’ stage in ceramics—a powerful process where raw materials are exposed to intense heat, yielding vibrant, unexpected surfaces and textures. This spirit of transformation and experimentation is at the heart of both the GLOST brand and the GROUNDWORKS exhibition.

GLOST was founded by Elena Gileva, an artist and ceramics educator who has been researching and developing glazes for nearly twenty years. Elena is also the curative force behind GROUNDWORKS, bringing her distinctive blend of artistry, inquiry, and community to every aspect of this project. With GLOST, her mission is to make high-quality glazes more accessible while fostering a space for learning, exploration, and artistic growth.

Don’t miss this chance to experience GLOST firsthand. Visit the shop during exhibition hours and walk away with sumptuous glazes to elevate your ceramic practice.
