Gallery Opening Hours
During exhibitions, we are open between:
11am – 1pm
1.30pm – 6pm
We close the gallery in between exhibitions, please visit our exhibitions page to find out when we are open.
Studio Opening Hours
Our Studio operates during class times. Please note we are not able to accept walk-ins. If you would like to speak to the team or arrange a visit, please email gallery@countyhallpottery.com.
Planning Your Visit
Please note that access to County Hall Pottery is on Belvedere Road, not on the river-side facing entrance to the building.
By Tube
County Hall is located within easy walking distance from several London Underground stations: Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster.
- Waterloo is the closest tube station to County Hall. Waterloo is about 8 minutes walking distance.
- Embankment and Charing Cross stations are close together on the north side of the River Thames. Both tube stations require a 10-15 minute walk to reach County Hall. From the station, cross over Hungerford Bridge.
- From Westminster tube station, take Exit One and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
By Rail
The closest rail stations to County Hall are Waterloo and Charing Cross.
- Waterloo is the closest rail station to County Hall. Waterloo is about five minutes walking distance; take Exit Six for the South Bank and follow the signs.
- Charing Cross is about a fifteen minute walk to County Hall. Cross over Hungerford Bridge.
By Bus
Buses to County Hall include the 211, 77 and 381. County Hall is on most London sightseeing bus tours and on the RV1 route that connects The County Hall to other London attractions, the Tate Modern and Covent Garden.
By Car
We encourage all visitors to use public transport, bike or foot to reach us, to help reduce CO2 emissions. However we appreciate this is not possible for everyone. To find a parking space near us, please click here.
Access
We aim to provide a welcoming, accessible environment for all our visitors and the widest possible access to our spaces. If you have accessibility requirements please get in touch in advance so we can ease your visit.
Getting to us
Step-free access is available at London Waterloo underground station via the Jubilee line and from Westminster underground station via the Jubilee and Circle and District lines. Step-free access continues above ground from both stations.
On arrival
When you arrive at London County Hall there is a lift from street level to the main entrance on Belvedere Road with a call button. The reception staff can then help guide you to the gallery or your instructor will guide you to the studio space.
