Ceramic Glaze Masterclass: Exploring the Art of Reduction GlazesÂ
Join us for an engaging hands-on workshop where you'll dive deep into the fascinating world of reduction glazes. This specialised course is designed for ceramic enthusiasts eager to explore the unique qualities and effects achieved through reduction firing techniques. The Masterclass is being led by Elena Gileva, the founder of GLOST Glaze. Elena is an artist and ceramics teacher who has been practising and experimenting with glazes for nearly two decades. She came to realise that many of the important manifestations of her practice; unpredictability, graspability, complexity and community are consolidated in the rich world of glaze making. She is the curator of our upcoming exhibition, Ground Works, which runs from Monday 12 May - Sunday 29 June 2025 at County Hall Pottery.Â
Dates: Saturday 21 June & Sunday 22 June, with kiln opening and debrief on Saturday 28 June
Time: 11am - 5pm with an hour for lunch
Price: £400
